Where do we do it.......
The Waveney and Oulton Broad Yacht Club generously allow us to use their premises at Nicholas Everitt Park next to the water. This offers us great facilities for sailing off the jetties.
The clubhouse has a canteen area which comes alive when we're sailing. Our refreshment volunteers make a great cup of tea and many of our volunteers are fantastic cake makers!
See the map on the contacts page for details of how to find us.
Who does it........
- Anybody with a disability over the age of 9 is welcome to come along and have a try at sailing. If you like it then you can join.
- Anybody who would like to become a volunteer can come along and join us. We always need wet volunteers (who teach sailing, drive the safety boats, launch the boats and put them away) and dry volunteers (who operate hoists, man the refreshments, help with life jackets, book sailing sessions etc.) All these activities are vital to enable us to thrive and we need as many helpers as possible to spread the work.
- Anybody who would like to become a sponsor and help to guarantee the continuing success of Waveney Sailability.
See our Contact Us page for details of how we can be reached. Or - come and see what's going on at Oulton Broad on most Tuesday afternoons.
Will I like it????........
