Membership
Individual Membership - enables you to sail and use all the club facilities on sailing days.
Corporate Membership - open to organisations who wish to bring small groups to sailing sessions.
Non-sailing membership - for helpers and people with disabilities who do not wish to sail.
What does it cost?
There is a small annual membership fee, currently 60 punds for sailing members and 25 pounds for non-sailing members, which helps towards the cost of boat maintenance and equipment. There are no other fees.
The History of Waveney Sailability
In 2004 members of the local Rotary Clubs, Lowestoft South, Lowestoft, East Point, Gorleston and Beccles, started working together to form a Sailability Centre as their Millenium Rotary Project. As a result, Waveney Sailability Ltd was formed in early 2005.
From those early days of just a few members we've grown to nearly 100 sailing members with disabilities and almost 50 volunteer helper members. Waveney Sailability is managed and run entirely by volunteers.
Our sailing fleet consists of Access dinghies and a Squib. See our Sailing page for more detailed information on these.
We also have two powered Safety Boats which are on the water at each sailing session.
