Members of the British Limbless Ex-Servicemens Association (BLESMA) were welcomed to Oulton Broad on Wednesday 14th August where they enjoyed a day out on the water hosted by Waveney Sailability.
The weather was sunny with a brisk wind and Volunteer instructors were able to take BLESMA members out in the specially designed Hansa dinghies and show them the rudiments of sailing and enjoy the freedom of the water. There was also the Waveney Sailability specially adapted Squib available for those wanting to experience a slightly larger vessel.
A fish and chip lunch was provided by BLESMA and Waveney Sailability kept light refreshments going throughout the day.
The event was able to take place thanks to Waveney and Oulton Broad Yacht Club for the use of their facilities.
